Do the Right Thing

For over a week, a Russian research ship has been ice bound in the China Sea. At first, a Chinese ice-breaker tried to rescue the persons trapped aboard. That ship could not get close enough. Then, an Australian ice-breaker tried. Still, the rescuers had no luck. Yesterday, a Chinese helicopter rescued 53 people from the research ship. So far, no lives have been lost. What a brave effort by so many! The older I get, the more I appreciate the courage of others, particularly when they do not allow nation, race or creed to stop them from doing the right thing.
