Give Me Strength

My mother always said that we should pray for the strength to handle what ever life sends us. This week I did a lot of praying. Winding up a contractual job, putting a downpayment on an apartment to which I intend to move, getting estimates from moving companies, judging an art exhibit, discussing and paying for repairs to a house which I soon will vacate and keeping the house spotless to impress the buyers who, for some reason, are not coming through the door, has been exhausting. However, later this week I leave for 12 days in Scotland! At this point, I am doing what so many former colleagues told me to do, “Give all that other stuff up to God.” I am so glad that He is omni-present. He can watch the house in the US and travel with me to Scotland. Faith is such a handy to have.
